Since ‘The Secret Lives of Our Clothes’ video, the environmental impact of the textile industry has been one of our key concerns, particularly here in China where it accounts for a major part of the country’s exports. We stumbled upon and were inspired by concept shop, ecovogue365, and their mission to create convertible apparel (think less fashion more options) to lesson every fashion maven’s ecological footprint. We spoke with co-founder, Jerah Coviello, to find out what sparked the passion for ‘slow fashion’.
Great tips from magnifeco.com :) Luv this. Ecovogue365 has you covered on #1 (we give you more for lesS), #2( our garments are made of modal), #5 (we host them monthly), #7 (we are only multi-wear), #8 (made in America), #9 (made by Russet and soon to come designers), #14 (never be afraid of this), #15 (a 20 way to wear garment / price = score), #19 (everything is handmade), and on a side note Jerah and Russet do #6 and # 21 all the time!
Meet our very first intern, KATE DANIEL! We are thrilled to see how far our reach goes. Kate found us online from her Masters Program in Apparel Design. What drew us together was Kate’s thesis that focused exclusively on convertible eco designs & her love for travel. We couldn’t see a better match for her to join our design team. She will be with us until mid August when she takes leave to another internship in Paris. Kate will be working on an exclusive convertible design for ecovogue365 that has something to do with BATS as well as helping us launch our carry on couture Kickstarter grant! All coming soon. We are excited to give Kate the run through on what it takes to run your own fashion line. Meet Kate below:
Hi! My name is Mary Kathryn Daniel, but I go by Kate! I’m a 24 year old gal from southern Arkansas. I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, GO HOGS, with a major in apparel studies and a minor in marketing. I graduated this past May from Louisiana State University with a Master’s degree in Apparel Design. My thesis at LSU focused on eco-friendly, reversible dress designs.
Although fashion is my first love, I have lots of other interests that keep me busy in everyday life. I really enjoy travelling. I’ve been lots of great places in the U.S. and some awesome places in Europe. All of my travels have been extremely inspirational! I also love to hike and hang out on rivers and lakes! I like to consider myself an amateur photographer, as well as a model when my friends need someone whose about six feet!
My goal as a fashion designer is to make less of an impact on the planet. I want to help create innovative designs that are made from eco-friendly fabrics in addition to creating a more versatile wardrobe for consumers.

What’s your Fetish? Ours is Convertible Fashion.
Oh yeah we took it there. We collaborated with our local talent to create FETISH, a digital book by up and coming young photographer, Morgann Klooster.
Morgann worked with our brand for her Senior Fall Semester and designed the entire concept of this book from start to finish. After you check out Morgann’s amazing work on her website, order the FETISH book right here. This photoshoot was inspired by the convertible lifestyle.
Our fav local hairdresser D. Cole Hair Design, took Jerah’s hair a step further and made it as convertible as our B. Here you see one dress, one hair style, with many ways to wear. Special thanks to Jacqueline Ann for the bang up makeup and jewelry by The Jewelry Fountain.
